Fine Art of Dani Schafer
Just last week, Dani Schafer sent in a beautiful selection of her abstract paintings. Ranging from $28 - $350 all pieces are one of a kind, and make beautiful inspiring home decor. Dani captures movement in a way that is light and warm. I'm so grateful to be showing her talent and work. Come see the pieces this weekend. Dani and I are developing clothing for a textile and clothing collaboration, let me know what kind of pieces you'd like to see.

Fashion Design Class in October
Jill Aiko Yee X Poketo
After much planning, Poketo and I are excited to present our Fashion Design Workshop this fall. A big Thank You to owners Angie Myung and Ted Vadakan for making it come together. I'm very excited to share what I know, and follow in the footsteps of all the other great LA creatives that have lead workshops at Poketo such as Block Shop Textiles, Eva Goicochea, Matchbox Kitchen, WRK-SHP, and many more. This class makes a great gift!
Get a peek behind the curtain of the fashion design world. We'll start with the building blocks of fashion design, and trend forecasting, followed by a lesson in the creative decision making process that brings a collection together - defining mood, pulling inspiration, following design direction, and editing/ merchandising as well as a demonstration on fashion illustration.....

Behind the Scenes: Photoshoot
Last weekend I took a trip to Topenga Canyon to shoot some images for the line. It's been a long time since the last shoot. I was lucky to have an amazing team! - photographer Jill Sutherland, model Alexandra Mayumi, Bethany Towes on makeup and hair. During our shoot we dished on travel, pregnancy (Jill is into her 3rd trimester), and what it's like to live in Topanga. The moodboard is all about confidence, clothing shapes, and natural beauty. I can't wait to share the final images with you!
There's plenty more to tell and share, so I'm hoping to see you soon, and hear what you have been up to. Thank you very much for your continued support.
