You're Invited Next Weekend
Hello!
Friends, this season has been full of adventures. Besides new styles to share with you, there are holiday specials at the upcoming craft show Unique LA, a photoshoot colab with friends Kat Chang and Claudia Zhao, breakfast with Mayor Villaraigosa, and a launch into loungewear. There's so much news, it was hard to pick. The best part is connecting with you on what you're interested in; knowing I've shared makes designing worth it.
LA's Best Holiday Craft Fair
I'll be setting up camp at UniqueLA next Saturday and Sunday December 1 &2 from 11-6pm both days at the Calmart Downtown. Unique LA features 350 of LA's very best food and craft vendors. Everything sold there is made locally by independent businesses that remain true to making wares by hand. We'll be decked out at our corner booth #233. Click for event info.
Holiday Specials
I've put together a couple of exclusive deals that are happening only next weekend at Unique LA, or if you schedule a shopping appointment for the month of December. Brightly colored lace trimmed silk loungewear is out for the first time, and will be wrapped, and at a special gift price. Get your girlfriend (or yourself) something to take on that winter resort trip she's been looking forward to. Find your Holiday party dress, or New Years Eve party dress. Those big events will be here before you know it!
New Friends for You
Holidays are about sharing, and Im so happy to invite you into the circle of friends I've made while in fashion. These fellow designers will be at Unique LA with me. I'll be sharing the booth with jewelry and handbag designer ChristiJay. Le Petit Elefant, and Wrk-Shp will be there as well. The store Myrtle on Sunset Blvd. has been a huge supporter, and will be hosting their 1 year anniversary party soon, so get on their mailing list!
LA Magazine Features Made in LA
For their November Issue, LA Magazine profiled dresses, shoes and accessories designers that keep their production in Los Angeles. I was excited to be featured among such distinguished labels as Clover Canyon and Calleen Cordero! The fashion editor of LA Mag, Linda Immediato put together a breakfast panel with Mayor Villaraigosa as the keynote speaker. Panelists discussed what the rewards and struggles are of those that want to keep their production made in LA. It was an honor to be there, and meet so many other designers and industry people.
The Technique: Fall Layering
If you haven't seen the new Silk Spliced Tees in the studio, they're on the site along with camisoles, slips and new dipped silk pieces. Building a layered look is a classic for fall. Especially when there's a surprise in back, like a transparent silk yoke. Basics don't have to be boring, or repetitive. Our Y-back cami is trimmed with iridescent elastic organza from Japan, and made with the softest fabrics. Our spliced tees feature outside pastel stitching. Add some personality to your layering technique. I got together with blogger friend Kat Chang and designerClaudia Zhao to shoot the new items now up on the site!
